My husband met a women online and left us?

I live in Ohio and I don't have a computer or anything so I am under my friends name on his computer. I been married for a few years and my husband over a month ago walked out on me and the kids. The factor I was working at last month let most of us go my son is 5 and I'm due in July with another boy. My husband canceled us off his insurance when he walked out on us he did at least leave the electric here turned on that is in his name but doesn't help pay any bills now that he's gone. He lives with his girlfriend and had taken our only decent car with him and she drives it most of the time and I'm stuck with our old car with a bad engine I can't drive. My doctor won't see me right now because I don't have any medical coverage. I have an income of under $1,900 a month from baby sitting pretty much others children 7 days a week. My rent eats up a lot of my income and my utilities is a little over 200.00 a month. I been paying out of pocket at another doctors office so I can get prenatal car which is costing me a lot of money. By the time I pay all the bills get the kids what they need pay for medical. I am without almost nothing I went and applied last month for medical coverage for me and the kids and the caseworker said it wouldn't be a bad idea to go ahead and apply for food stamps as well. The last two weeks I haven't been able to buy grocery's because my son got sick and had to get two prescriptions that wiped what little money I had left. I have borrowed money the last few weeks so we can get by. I don't have anywhere else to go so I need to hold on to where we live and keep my rent on time. I want to get another job as soon as I can I have applications in at places close to me. I'm scared that I am going to lose everything my husband makes around 50 grand a year and won't give us a cent. I do have a lawyer through legal aid and am going to get divorced my court hearing is in Aug. My question is how long does it take to receive assistance I had my interview and have turned everything in. so does anyone know how long it takes? Also when I go to court in Aug for my first divorce hearing can the judge make my husband get off the lease here. He doesn't live here but yet he won't come here and take himself off he said he is to busy with other things. Any advice would be great thanks.

it can take any where from one week to 30 days after you apply for food stamps to start receiving them. good luck to you and i wish you and your children the best of luck!!! oh ya make sure you get your soon to be ex husband for child support and spousal support.

You already have a lawyer so you are half way home. Make sure you also sue for alimony. And a decent means of transportation. A car with a bad engine doesn't count. Take him for all you can get. You deserve better.

I feel your pain. Sorry to hear your story here. I think you should just takeyor kids to your husband, BECAUSE, you can't support your kids right now, you have no stable job or enough money, so just send your kid to him. until your divorce paper have done. That's is also easy for you to start your own life. I guess you are still young, why u have make your own life ruined? Just think long and hard. First off, I'm sorry to hear that your husband has done such a cruel thing to you. No one deserves that kind of treatment.

As for your question about assistance, it can take a long time or it can take a very short amount of time. It all depends on how much they already have to take care of and how quickly you got your information turned in. My guess is that it would take about three weeks, maybe less. Sorry but I can't answer your question about the judge and the lease thing, that I have no clue about.

talk to your attorney im almost sure that if he has left you and is in another relationship your allowed (should be) getting child support from the ahole, leave the utilities in his name because when they get shut off once or twice (this may seem like a sacrifice but summers is here) it makes his credit go to ****.

I'm sorry you're going through this but I can't believe there isn't a way to get some sort of emergency hearing for you. And believe it or not, it might work in your favor that your hubby is still on the lease - that means he's responsible, too, for paying. Same with the utilities -- it's his credit on the line.

Anyway, it sounds like you have a valid case for getting money out of this clown sooner. Your legal aid attorney doesn't sound very good -- is there any way you could try and finagle a free consult with an another attorney? Your hubby is doing things that are going to kill him in court, and he needs a registered letter from an attorney threatening him.

I know it sounds like just an extra possible expense, but I'd call around anyway. It doesn't sound like you're getting good legal advice and a young or new attorney might be happy to take the case with extended payments.

dam why aint you up in the court sueing his *** for child support, with two kids he should be paying about 1000-1500 a month specially for the way he left you most judges will screw him to the wall. take his *** to court AND the court can MAKE HIM have you and the kids on his insurance, while u are pregnate. so many options you havent looked into. He should have to pay your rent to. god girl please get this looked into

First off, in most states he can not legally just take you off his health insurance. You have to be notified through COBRA regulations that your insurance is ending so you can carry it for a specified number of months longer if you pay to keep it going. Go to your local health department. They can help you with what you might qualify for right now, and maybe get you some emergency help. And when you DO go to court...you need to stick it to this buttwipe. Do NOT let him get by with ANYTHING.

your fed help should come in 2 weeks or less

and once you get to court he will be made to pay

if he makes 50lg a judge would Make him Pay for at Least Health Ins anyway

judge will make get off---rental co wants 2 people on the hook for any damages
when you go to court in Aug the judge will make him pay for the kids and maybe support for you for 6 months or so

This is long but your in detail so we have a good idea at the pic of what's going on. Your in Ohio and from what I gather with what you said you and some others lost your jobs last month. I believe that would be GM so maybe I'm wrong but that's what it sounds like where you worked. My friends mom got the boot to last month. Many people been losing their jobs there. First thing I thought of when I was reading what you wrote. Your husband is a pig! Is this some sort of trend or something? What is with people meeting people online and screwing the sh*t out of their spouse. O don't worry hunny it does take a awhile to get a court date. But once your in there the judge is going to have a field day with this loser! What kind of man just walks out on his wife and kis and a baby on the way. It makes me sick just know others have been in your shoes this isn't your fault. What someone does to us who have or is married we don't have control over what they do in the end. If you did everything for your assistance last month as long as it was done and through by the end of the month then this month you should be getting something. Your doing everything you can and the insurance thing I feel for you my ex let his just go so he didn't have to pay for his son. When you find a job they will let you keep your medical your food allownce some of the time it depends. But for all of us women who have been screwed over by our husbands don't let him get away with jack and get him for everything you can get.
