In 2003 more lower income familys owned thier own homes than ever before. Their mortgages were cheaper than the rent they were previously paying, they had more disposable income and they didn鈥檛 have to work as many hours to make their ends meet. Also they were less likely to tolerate bad treatment from their boss because there were other jobs they could get. Now that the econemy has taken a dive most of those people have been forclosed on, evicted from their homes and are now forced to pay rent again. In other words someone elses mortgage, a wealthy persons mortgage, and at the same time they are forced to take whatever job they can get, work as many hours as the boss demands and they don鈥檛 dare complain about bad treatment or unsafe conditions ect. Which again benefites their boss who is garrenteed to be more wealthy than them. This was Bush and Cheney鈥檚 true goal when they took office and they have indeed been successful in achieving it and blaming it on other people. I guess we can also blame Bush for the obvious deficit and lack of writing skills of all of the high IQ complainers, or maybe for all of the natural disasters of the world, too...
I suppose the author might believe that an obvious lack of overall scholastic interest, or learned writing skills of the student is and was the teacher's fault, yeah?
Maybe this is why the people take low paying jobs, they aren't qualified for higher paying ones. I mean who can be a doctor unless they not only master English, but Latin and Greek also. They have to be advanced in Biophysiology too. They might even become rich, and own a house, or even own a couple and they might rent out to some other people.

Where is the argument for self responsibility? Are not mortgage borrowers supposed to understand how ARM's work? Or even if a scheister or scheme to seperate a fool from their money is the case, are we not responsible for taking precations to the likes of such, are we not supposed to be aware of and take precautions?
I mean, if I had poor credit, and I got into a mortgage that had a ballooning ARM, and I did not have to pay any money down, and all of the other signs of..."this is not the norm," should I not be weary?

I think most people have realized that the Bush-Cheney Oil Junta is not good for America, given his twenty-something % approval rating. What they haven't realized, unfortunately, is that is the Republicans' agenda is for the rich to get richer and the poor and middle class to get poorer. Bush is only the most blatant of them.
Another of the terrible things that needs to be stopped is outsourcing all our jobs to foreign countries. Big business loves it because they make lots more money by paying almost nothing to have the work done in China, India, Mexico, etc. Oh, and we need to stop paying subsidies out of our pockets to the oil companies, while they are, by their own admission, making record profits; and stop the continuous war.
We will have a continuation of these policies if McCain is elected. Why are you blaming Bush? Why don't you look at the Democratically controlled Congress for answers. Our economy is actualy picking up in regards to agriculture, exportation, private business growth, professional, health, and educational services. The only two things that are actually doing poorly are the mortgage and gasoline price crisis. What people don't understand is, that the war in Iraq has nothing to do with oil - unlike that of the opinion of the typical anti-Bush liberal. I can't say that I agree with Bush on everything, maybe 60%-70% (disagree on border is a big one for me). We get majority of our oil from Canada, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and Venezuela. You can thank Nixon for the Arab Oil Embargo in the late 60's early 70's for our gasoline prices today. The Arab Oil Embargo allowed the Middle East oil companies to hold their oil tankers out at sea so that the available crude oil price would go up because of the lack of the crude oil and the demand of a booming country (the US). The mortgage crisis can be blamed on banks and inflation more than it can be blamed on Bush. It's the money hungry companies out there that are paying their employees less or not giving raises making the standard of living harder to afford, not Bush. Educate yourself a little.
