Let Me Explain the Situation?

Okay. I am 16, my girlfriend is 16, and we have a baby. we live with her mom; who works in the walmart home office, and makes around 13 dollars an hour; i have no job. I have applied at over a dozen places, but the economy is so horrible, that no one is hiring. I get 250 from my mom every month for child support. Which i use to buy my things, the baby's nessecities, and my girlfriend's nesseties, her clothes, toothpaste, deodorant, shaving cream, even her tampons. I dont mind. But, my mom wants to start taking the 250 and giving her mom 100. her mom is awful with money. The rent where we are staying now is 495 a month. the utlitie bill is 60-70/ monthly. Me living there with the baby gives the household 260 dollars of food stamps, which is used for everyone. The money that her mom has left over, she blows on her friends and boyfriend. the other day we found a bottle of SKYY VODKA in her cabinet. There is obviously more money going around. But she has told my mom that

she cannot make it; so my mom wants to give her money, which i dont spend (usually) on anything we dont need; everyone i have talked too (even unbiased adults) say that it isnt right. She has money; she spends it on nothing sometimes. I use my money, sometimes with no extra. What do you think? Do you agree? I can give more details if needed.

If you are paying rent, then you shouldnt give her money! As long as all that money is going toward the baby and your girlfriend and nothing fancy, then that is just fine. Her mother shouldnt want $100 and spend it on vodka when it could be buying diapers. Thats not right. Maybe you should move in with your mom instead.

You have screwed up your life. Very sad.
You Mom does not owe you any of her money. You are the ones who made a mess of your lives. Don't expect her to bail you out.

I think you should have considered it all before you got your girlfriend pregnant and became a father at such a young age not being able to financially or emotionally do it.

You have no other recourse except to let the adults that are willing to help you, help you.

Your girlfriend's mother is an adult and able to make her own decisions on what she does with the left over money whether you think it is wise or not. She is not committed to helping either of you becuase of the choices you made.
