And the morale of the story is...?

What is the morale to my story:

I am in a College, and we need to rent a laptop. After 2 years, I have paid ~2000 for this laptop. It's not very good and would've cost ~1200 at the store, but they charge 800 for Software and Tech support.

When I first got it, it had a dead pixel on the monitor. I was upset, so I asked the techies to fix it. They didn't. For the next 2 years I patiently walk in and out of the tech department, telling them to fix this pixel, but they won't do it. They're really cheap; Shylock cheap. Mr. Burns cheap. Dollar store cheap. I plead, I coax, I tried to bribe them once, they won't do anything.

In one week I am buying this laptop, so today I put my foot down. I spend an hour waiting for this head-techie to show up and I practically drag him into his office and start cursing every GD minute I've wasted trying to get this computer fixed. Surprisingly, he caves like a sand castle, and actually replaces the monitor. 0__0 ?

So now my computer is in the condition it should've been 2 years ago. What is the morale... What have I learnt....
Patience leads to rewards?
Profanity and veiled threats of violence get things done?
Never pay up-front?

Let's hear your thoughts on all this:

If you want something done kick some a$s

Don't be a cheap ***! Profanity works magic! Patience is for losers who are cheap! You should have a laptop by the time you are in college! Never ever trust a rental shop that sells insurance, software and tech support! If it is not yours don't change it (that means fixing it)! Basically........When in doubt, use profanity.

morale is low at the beginning, but pleasantly rises at the end.

the moral, on the other hand, would probably be something like "keep trying"

Moral:
Computer Techies can be jerks, too.

lol =]

you should have gotten a lawyer 2 years ago.

Okay that is really good for you. Congrats!

patience is the key to all things

oh yeah, i just got all fortune cookie on you!

Man with hand in pocket feel cocky all day.

be nice, think twice - be mean get new screen

lol that sucked

don't buy from jerks?
