Am I protected under a non-pay for a corporate lease? |
I took a job with a company in Houston who placed me in an apartment upon coming down here. The company had offered me a great deal to come down and work for them but never delivered. My employment with them has subsequently ended and they have also stopped making rent payments. They didn't pay March or April of 2008 and the office obviously wants me to move out. I got a letter today from the office - not the courts, saying that I need to be gone by the 18th or they will empty the apartment (of my stuff) and prevent me from from entering the property. My question is do I have any protection here? Please help... You have to go. If you didn't have any kind of a severance agreement stating otherwise, you must move out. |
