GETTING RIPPED OFF?!?!?!...what do i do? |
I moved into this apartment february 25th and i signed my lease on february 11th and today is March 4th. I went to the rental office and gave them my rent for this month. They told me my rent was 1810$ and they showed me a paper saying i signed it but i didnt it had my initials on it i do not ever remenber signing that paper! and i signed another paper the day i signed my lease saying i would pay 1650$ they claim they dont have a paper like that... what do i do they are lieing to me and i cant afford to pay 1810, 1650 was pushing my limit. and they say if i want to break my lease i have to pay them 2 months worth of rent and pay them for painting my house shampooing the carpet and for all the damages they fixed (before i moved in) i argued but they were like i dont have it i dont know what your talking about and they never gave me a copy of the papers even when i asked You don't have a copy of the lease you signed originally? I know this is a little too late but from this point in your life do two things: prove what you are saying, or pay time to get a lawyer. |
