What to do now? |
I work for a small company and recently found out one of the workers was working off the books. Normally I would not report her but she reported another worker to the food stamp office for making $2.13 more than she should have for a month! This worker was making good money and recieving money from the state - free rent , food stamps, and $1,300 a month for her "disability". She has since lost her free rent and disability money. Her disability was a complete fraud, she has actually stated that she tricked the system Do you think I did the right thing? You did the right thing, perhaps for the wrong reason. Fraud and "cheaters" cost all of us additional taxes. There is no free lunch, someone somewhere is paying. Often, it is us, and we don't even realize it. Yes. We all pay for these "free riders". |
