In Florida if you live in a rental property and the property is sold, the buyer has to purchase it under the condition that a lease is in place. The buyer has to let you finish the remainder of your lease. You can not get evicted due to the sale of the property. There will always be stipulations in this case. If in any way you have broken your lease, then yes, you can be asked to leave with in 30 days. Laws may be different their then in Florida. if new owner wants to live there he has every right to do so once he buys it. - call the mgmt company - maybe they didn't even known the owner was looking to sell Do you have a fixed term lease? contact your local hud office They have to serve you with a formal document in writing. I would look at your lease and see what it says. But, I would also start looking for a new place to live. I would think it would be very odd that they would kick you out if you live in an apartment complex. |
