The housewives expect me to take care of their kids just because I work from hom, HELP!!!?

I'm a 26 year old MALE. I'm a certified translator. I've been doing that for 8 years. I have my office at home. I was making very good money, so I decided to buy a house, and not to rent an apartment.
I live in this neighborhood where I'm the ONLY single guy. Everyone else is a family with kids.
Although I do wake up sometimes at 9:00, I do work. It doesn't matter at what hour of the day I do my work as long as it's done on the due date.
I have this big problem! The housewives from the neighborhood somehow decided it was a good idea to just drop off their kids at my place while they go elsewhere since according to them, I'm not really doing anything.

I sometimes say NO, but it's just too many of them! They give me all this drama and elaborate stories, sometimes I can't say no. They make fall behind on my work, and they have made damages to my new home.

I say NO sometimes, but it's just too many of them, how can I make them stop??

when one of the parents drops their kids off, answer the door in your birthday suit!!

stop answering the door, that is mean and selfish of them, they should take care of their own damn kids, get a camera on the door so you know who it is, hide your car in the garage if you have one. start charging money , that will make em stop.

You need to man-up and tell those June Cleaver's that you have work to do and not to mistake the fact that you work from home that you are doing nothing, I would not answer the door.

Why arethese women leaving their children with a young man as yourself?

Pretend you have a office and go out every morning but turn about and go in your back gate then don't answer the door! Do this for two weeks and they will find another mug!

you are a very nice guy. but i think its ok to say no if your priorities are being affected. they will understand it. if they make excuses or drama just tell them im really sorry i can't! be firm on your decission. if you let them they will keep doing it. saying no to them does't mean you dont care for them its just that you have some priorities to do. because you too are on the same situation, why they are leaving their kids to you because they have some priorities to do too. why you can't take care of their kids because you have the same reason.

Try what I did...put a big sign on your front door stating in clear terms that you are NO LONGER available to care for kids, at any time...day or night. Be polite, but firm.
Being neighborly DOES NOT mean that you have to be the town babysitter.
