Have an offer of 20-22K D pm in Dubai. Can i save 10K D pm if i take a 1 BHK on rent and take my wife with me?

Can any one help me on the following
Can I get a 1 BHK near to Sheikh Zayed Road for 5000 to 6000 D per month or how far would i get a 1 BHK within this amount
What is convenient mode of travel to office
Can i take my wife immediately with more or will i have to stay there for some time. Is there any other alternative like taking a tourist visa for wife etc
Apart from house rent what would be the other major cost of living
Is veg food easily available.

From your question, I think you are an Asian or Indian. Cool, the expenses stays pretty high and low depending on the life style too. There is a big Indian, Pakistani and Phillipines settlement here. So, the life style goes with what it is back home. But for westerners, the life style is different here. So the salary is just good for the living with wife.

If you are an Asian, I think you can save a good sum, but I do not know your life style to fix the amount that you can save. If you are from Philipines, YES you can make a saving. Dubai has a good option for Vegan foods.

Forget Sheikh Zayed Road....It will cost you more than you salary to live there.

1 BHK approx 20 km from SZR in Dubai chall cost you minimum 70,000 per year. If u live in Sharjah, then it shall cost you approx 50,000 (i.e. if u r lucky to get one).

Normally, everyone drives his own car, but u require driving license. It will take you 6 months to 1 year to get one. Till that time, you are at mercy of Buses & Taxis.

The living expenses are not so much. You shall live more than comfortably in 8000-10000 per month.
