The same year, he had married Catherine Hogarth, who was the daughter of the editor of the "Evening Chronicle." Once married, they traveled, and he started his own weekly journal, acted a bit, and published a number of books, including the famous "David Copperfield." Charles dickens had then later fell in love with another woman in 1857. Charles Dickens had then eventually left his wife to marry this woman.

His adult life may have been stable in many ways, but his father was arrested again, and his family constantly turned to him for financial help. Charles Dickens had then died in June 9th 1870 due to a stroke, after a days writing of his unfinished novel Our Mutual Friend
