Would removing the lost-rent tax-deduction from commercial property help the economy? |
Just an idea I had. There are so many vacant business offices, stores, etc that I pass every day that I begain to wonder: If the benefit of lost-rent tax deduction was removed, then wouldn't landlords be more likely to lower their rental rates to more reasonable levels thereby allowing more businesses to startup and help stimulate the economy? I think you have a reasonable debate here. In economics there are a million factors to look at in this situation and I'm no economist and can't bring forth these. Nonetheless, your idea makes sense to me. |

You want an apartment in Manhattan that isn't a studio, and you want your rent less than $1000/month? You're going to need roommates. Go look at CL for housing and roommates. Contact the post office where you want your box to be. They will have a price list for you, depending upon your needs. I have found my p.o. box to be of great help when I need privacy. ...Still have to pay it....but they should not charge you late fees. Do you have proof that you paid -- like a receipt?? Or just drop it in the rent box?? ...haha i like it! ...check the local market to judge. ...Good idea. Change the locks ...Sounds like a steal. Jump on it ASAP!!! ...ha ha! good 1.xx ... |
