What kind of government help lets illegals buy a house, but me and hubby can't and we were born/raised here?!

I just spoke with my landlady, she is hispanic from Mexico. She used to live here in these same apartments with her hubby and 5 kids. She just had her 5th child about 5 months ago. She gets wic, and probably foodstamps and medicaid, not to mention, because she worked in the rent office, free/reduced rent. She happily told me they just bought their first house! I was floored because she is not a citizen, but they are trying to get their papers togehter. I am married and have 5 kids too, I can't get medicaid, foodstamps, or nothing! I want to know what type of government handout did she get that I can't even qualify for? Is her family any better than mine becuase she's hispanic and I'm black? Should I be upset?

For those idiots who assumed I'm some lowlife out here griping becuase I feel I'm entitled to everything and don't want to work for nothing, that is the furtherst from the truth. Truth is, I work, I work hard, and sometimes 7 days a week. I work a blue collar job, along with my hubby. We are honest, hardworking citizens of this country, taxpayers. Yes we have 5 kids, 2 of whom are twins. It was hard with 1, but 5 is harder, and we're managing the best we can. My point is this, at any time we fall on hard times, I can't go and get foodstamps or any other handout, but an illegal alien can go and do it with no problem. I don't hate on nobody, good for anyone who betters themselves, but I have a problem with our governement turning their backs on U.S. citizens to make sure these illegals don't feel left out of the American dream too! Anyone who can't see anything wrong with this is either illegal themselves or are just blind on top of dumb!

The same government that going to grant them all amnesty if you don't write your congressman or senators.

Yes Nyema, you should be upset. Illegals have no right to be here let alone buy a house. My husband and I struggled to buy our first house as well. We're raising our kids without help from the government, we are feeding ourselves with our hard work not food stamps. Report your landlady to the ICE. It sounds like you are one of the people that make a little too much to qualify for any help, but not enough to get by. One thing she might have done is to claim she didn't live with her boyfriend/husband and then get welfare and stuff. Then they live in free housing while saving his money. This is a real frequent scam that I've known immigrants to do.

Blame Bank of America.They currently are giving loans to illegal immigrants.It's just like that here in New England.More illegals are buying homes than Americans.They seem to have plenty of cash to make a healthy down-payment on a home also.The going rate for a home here is 200,000usd and they are the only ones buying them.Most American people are moving out of state because the prices are just too expensive.

And if you're like plenty other Americans you're probably P*SSED OFF as H*LL about it. If you're like many black Americans around here, your ancestors probably helped BUILD this nation into what it is and why the H*LL can't you get those kinds of benefits from our gov. How can you judge this person? They just don't hand out welfare to any schmuck asking for it....There are requirements, which have to be verified....Maybe her husband works for himself and was finally able to scrape up enough money to get a down payment on a home....Sounds like your jealous, how about you get a job and stop worrying about your neighbors buying a home....Get a life...
