landlord is demanding 7% interest on the judgement amount. Is continuosly sending me e-mails and calling my office. Do I have a rebutable case to get judgement dismissed? I thought once the judgement was issued, all he could do is report me to the credit agencies. As far as money is concerned the amout leveed by the judge was all I had to pay. You are only liable for the amount in the final judgment. I'm sorry, but the answerer is completely wrong. A judgment accrues interest, and by law, not only is the debtor responsible for the judgment amount, but all interest, court costs and attorneys fees. There is no basis for a lawsuit. Report It You don't have to pay the 7%. Only the final amount |
