Your take on this...?

...As you know, hubby & I have been trying to buy a house. The 1st deal didn't go through, neither did the second. I reported the crooks (the mortgage guy & the loan officer) to the BBB for this & taking my husband's money & still refusing to give him a reciept, even after they got reported. They made me drop the complaint, then they claim they went to court for it. Yeah right!
So this has been going on all these months,& the owner of the house we're trying to buy is getting ready to sue them, get his money back & rent us the house. He does not want to deal with those aholes anymore,he says they're "fake." Duhhh.. i've been trying to tell him that for months!
Anyway, the people in that office are gone-they took their office furniture, supplies, ect. & now the office is for rent. They claim the rent was too high-yeah right. That's what they told the owner of the building they had their office in.
Somebody should have tipped him off that the jerks in the office were doing illegal chit!

No,our names weren't even on the contract & we didn't pay a deposit. These guys did not do ANYTHING by the book. So we figured if it didn't go through,we'd just rent the house & the owner agreed. He doesn't know they're gone yet & I hope he doesn't get mad & not rent it to us after all.
And,read my other questions. There is a complete timeline for each event as it ocurred.
How could we deal legitimately with people who were running a scam?
What do you guys think..they lost their jobs,or they think they're gonna move somewhere else & start this chit all over again?
How is the owner of the house gonna sue them now? He's stupid..I been telling him they were crooks all this time,he didn't listen.
He should have sued them when he had the chance.

I recommend that you hire an attorney who specializes in real estate law. Show him copies of all of the papers that you have with respect to this transaction.

Your attorney will take the proper legal action against them.

First off, you were buying or renting because I am confused why you would want to rent the house after you put in offers on it. Secondly you were suppose to give your down on the house to a lawyer and not a broker, they can't hold in trust of money and thirdly why would you report them if they didn't like your offer the first or second time? Sorry, just your question is all over the place. Usually when you buy a house you contact your or there broker, set a deal, write due dilagence before even giving money. Money is not exchanged until the deal is signed by both parties making it legit.

Contact your local FBI office and ask to speak to the Agent in Charge. Relate your story and I think they will find the crooks for you.
