How do u get a payday loan?

Ok, my boyfriend is a little late on the rent, and he wont have all the rent until friday.
The apartment office has given him until tuesday to have all the money.

So before he borrows from a friend, I think he should get a payday loan
Has anyone ever had one of these?
What are the requirements or qualifications to get one?
Do you have to have been at your job for a long time in order to qualify?

thanks...

I have never been to those pay day loan offices..I hear their interest is pretty high. An option he may consider if he works for a small company is to ask the boss for an advance on his pay. If he is a long term employee, most bosses will do that..it's also no interest..

im not trying to be mean i am serious dont do it. its like dealing with a loan shark. talk about a rip off!

Call the local company that does those kinds of loans in your area. Each store is different and has different fees and terms to qualify with.

Just let him pay the rent late. The landlord can't force him out without a court order. And the late fee would probably be less than what the payday loan people would want. He would just be digging a deeper hole.

You need a pay stub or bank statements proving your employment and a drivers license. You pay a but load of interest, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

You need the last two paystubs from work (so they know how often you get paid) and your latest bank statement.

You write a postdated check that is either good on the day of your payday or the day right after (to give some time for the money to be posted)...

If they give you $400, you write them a check for $460, and they cash it on the day you get paid.

If you live on a sort of fixed-income, this will become a vicious cycle, because you will always be $60 short per check and have to keep borrowing from them until you work an extra day to have that extra $60.

Cash converters do pay day advance you need to earn 200+ a week and must have payslips and photo id

I looked into getting one once. They usually require you to make at least $1000 a month, and you pay back the amount you borrow out of your next paycheck. That's how it works with any of them. Search the Internet. They're all over the place.

payday loand are $20 for each hundred,bank stament,I.D,phone bill,blank check,5refs.
I have getting them I rather go to newyork and walk on 42nd st

If it's only a couple days his landlord should understand. I would never get one of those loans. Super high interest and I've seen people sink totally because of them.

you go to a pay day load place like Money Mart or Cash Now or something like that. i think you have to be able to prove that you are recieving money from somewhere ex. go to bank and get a statement that shows that a paycheck is deposited./cashed ever 2 weeks or when ever he gets paid. you provide personal info and its pretty simple. you may need a drivers licence however.

dont do it. if something happens and you can not pay these people will wreak havoc on your life and it will cost you a fortune to get out of that debt. Borrow from family or friends first. maybe the rent people will hold his check for 3 days-it wont hurt to ask.-payday loans should be illegal and is predatory lending at its worst.

just ask his boss for a cash advance. dont think you have to be there for any certain time but might depend on the employer

I have tried many times with payday loans and i personally dont recommend it. Its good if you going to pay them right away, but you usually end up paying double the amount you borrowed. I think the best thing is for your bf to ask a friend or family member. But here is what I know about payday loans: Usually you have to be at your job more than 6 months, have an active checking account (from which they will deduct the pmnts electronically) most of them have a fee of like $90 per $100 you borrow. Lets say that you borrown $200 then it would be $180 in fees. Thats only if you pay the entire loan in two pmnts. But if you dont have the money you can always renew the loan therefore resulting in more fees. Thats how you end up paying double (sometimes even more). Not a good idea.

Good Luck

I would not reccomend this avenue. They are not hard to get all you need is a couple of paystubs, and drivers license or other ID. Take it from someone who has been there- these places charge a ridiculous interest rate, before you know it you'll be going back again and again. If this is a one time need go with a friend, then also you will be less encouraged to repeat the behavior and ask a friend again.

It is a stupid idea. Payday loans are expensive. They will almost eat 25% to 30% from his pay-cheque. And you know that it is all legal! If he has good friend or siblings or parents he can borrow from for few days is the best option.OR arrange a meeting with the administrator of apartment building explain the situation in a very very polite and courteous language and give some assurance. I am sure that it will work. Good luck.

I would borrow from a friend or family before I get a payday loan. Those places are nothing but trouble, they charge to borrow and alot of times it becomes a cycle for people. They keep borrowing from one payday loan place to pay off the other.

As far as qualifiying,I think you just have to have a job and a bank acct. and be breathing, they just want your money.

there are no requirement sjust needs to be working, you go to a payday office look in your yello pages and then need to make sure your boyfriend hd id on him and a pay slip then they give it to you based on his income usually the equivalent of one of his pay checks

Payday loans are for suckers.

The loans aren't free. They have a service charge and interest. Add the interest and the fee and you'll pay about 50% interest.

Will you be able to pay it off come next payday or just get another loan until next payday.

Why do you think these are the fastest growing industry in the USA?

Because there are sooo many suckers.

I would not get one. They are a rip off, you pay way more than what you borrowed. Has he tried talking to manager?
