Help with my bills?

I need help with my bills and rent and dont know what to do anymore. I have been out of a job for the past two months and I am desperate. I have taken anything that has come my way but right now, my rent is due and the leasing office has told me that they will evict me if I dont pay up by the seventh. And since I am late with my rent, they want the market rate for my apartment which is $1000 instead of the $770 which I normally pay. I live in Atlanta GA. Some one help me with any information on agencies that can help me, please.Im a good person who has just fallen into bad times.

Social Services should be able to help with housing and food.

If you belong to a church they help their congregation. Check with human services, local food pantries, etc. Look in the blue pages of a phone book. A local church could tell you where to go to for help. Take whatever help you can get till you get back on your feet. Our tax dollars may as well be used for some good.

Maybe try borrowing some money from family and friends until you are able to find another job.
