The blame for Pirates of the Caribbean box office failure?

I find the blame is Shrek 3 and Spider Man 3.

First weekend for Pirates we're:

Pirates of the Caribbean 3 139,802,190$
Shrek 3 67,010,012$
Spider Man 3 18,112,261$

Well look, if Shrek and Spider Man 3 we'rent there, Pirates would of took the box office record. Don't you find Shrek 3 is the blame for it?

I don't think anyone or anything is to blame...Its the war of summer movies....it happens every year. This year just happens to be the year of the trilogy.

I think that if more people thought it was worthwhile to go and see then it wouldn't matter what else was playing. By the way I thought the movie was fantastic, Pirates that is.

and i'm laughing out loud because everybody who watched the other 2 regret they chose the movie!
it's just really a bad choice epidemic that happened.
