I want some peoples opinion on what you think will happen in this situation Im in about eviction. Thanks.? |
Well as you all know its just past the first of the month. We own a mobile home in a park. Last week we were going to pay lot rent right when it was due. Last friday to be exact. Which would have been a little early. Well we have until the 5th when its the last day to pay lot rent. Which was this past Wednesday. Well my husband didnt get his paycheck last week due to his boss and a problem with his bank so we wasnt able to pay it. We got 2 checks in 1 today on his payday. My husband came home today to pay rent and just missed them in the office. So basically last day was wednesday, today is friday and it is 2 days late. Well he came on home and seen a notice on our door for eviction. We have been having money problems, I have medical problems, my hubby just got a new job...cuz he was laid off from his prev job which made killer money. We have taken a major loss now. But anyway, as soon as the office opens tomorrow we are going to go in and see what they say. We have the money. What.... What do you think will happen. Just your opinion. I am extrememly scared. We have a son that just started kindergarden and I just dont know what we would do or where we would go. We dont have them money to move. Do you think they will sympythize with me? Im not looking for that...well I guess I am. Thanks for your help in advance. I think it depends a lot on your past history at this place. If you have never or rarely been late on your rent, are you quiet, always complaining? If your record is pretty good, then they will probably accept the rent and tell you to not be late anymore. After all, it will be a pain for them to evict you as well. If this is the first time they will probably take the money! You know how it is-money in hand and they don't have to look for someone else to pay it. Good luck and don't worry until you have to. Which hopefully won't be anytime soon. I hope he enjoys this new job! and you enjoy a bit of peace sounds like you've earned it! I don't know what state you are in, but in most the landlord cannot legally evict you without going to court and getting permission. Tacking a notice to your door does not constitute eviction procedures in many states. Where are you located and what does your husband do for a Living? I have a purpose in asking that question...before I can go any further with the answer... |
