If I get pregnant and I have only been? |
in my job for 2 months...what financial help do I get without a partner? Or if I lose my job and rent a room and thats obviously not going to last when it's a room in a house with 2 strangers who won't want a screaming baby..what can I do as I have no savings-by the way I am not pregnant now but I was before and I had to abort the twins and I REALLY regret it-just had no help from anyone and no job-really didn't know where to turn at all, tried to go to council offices/jobcentre-filled in forms and no reply. Tried working but kept fainting!?!!! (please don't tell me not to get preganant again or shouldn't of been-becuase that is obvious or tell me abortion is wrong-I KNOW and I regret it!!) Thankyou.xx thanks for all the advice-but I live in the UK so a lot of this doesn't apply to me. I was thinking I could work from home but there are a lot of scams out there-anyone know much about that? you poor thing i am so sorry you where in the postion, really you shouldn't worry about what you COULD have done to help support yourself because you will just beat urself up even more about aborting the pregnancy, but since you want to know it's not wrong - you did the right thing,as you obviously couldn't take care of the children & there was no help offered. When you find a decent man you can start a family. Don't fall for guys who won't ne there. I now you dont want to hear it, but th simple answer is to not get pregnant until you have a supportive partner to help you both emotionally and finacially. A job cannot fire you for being pregnant, no matter how long you've been there, but they can fire you for not being able to preform your job duties with minimal adjustments. There are state run agencys that will help you get through your pregnancy if you do decide to get pregnant... but I will say again. JUST DONT GET PREGNANT AND YOU WON"T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANY OF THIS!!!!! well before you get pregnant MAKE SURE YOUR insurance covers prenatal care and all the delivery and room an board costs. i found out my insurance doesn't cover it and now i'm trying to figure out ways on how to get better or any insurance at all. if you do get pregnant and are without a job go to you're local welfare center and they will provide you will info on medicaid and WIC. Check with your state agencies, there's food stamps and TANF (welfare) to help with money, there's section 8 to help with housing, there's all kinds of help out there, you just have to keep trying. Don't take no for an answer and keep bugging them until they tell you how to apply. If you call your local DFS (Division of Family Services) office they can assign a case worker to help you. The FIA Family Independant Agency, They give you food stamps Medicaid and finacial help as long as you get approved for it. If you do get pregnant and you don't feel that you would be able to care for and support the child you should look into adoption. There are a lot of couples out there who can't have children and are anxious to find one to adopt. My name is Deborah I had my first baby at 17. I had some help I can say but my mom had no job, so I had to support my baby and I, I had a part time Job, so I drop out of school to take care of him, But when the time was right I got on welfare and went back to school got my GED, and now i attend a technical school, What I am trying to say to you, no matter wat your age, no matter if you do are dont have help, you have to do what you have to do, this life depends on you, just cause you make a mistake, you cant give up, I am sure If you live in America that you can find help, and find a apartment there is section 8, Metropolitan Housing, HUD things of that nature. First I would wait longer if you want children now. Because being at a job two months doesnt really secure your position. Plus when getting pregnant you do get sick and sometimes more than others. I was so sick when I got pregnant I couldnt work. There was no way. If you get that way at a new job they most likely wont keep you... and you will be in a bad position. Just give yourself time to get it together. If you dont have it together this baby and pregnancy will be very hard. VERY hard. you need to wrk on making your life stable for yourself before you try to have any children... get a job and keep it for at least a year, start saving as much as possible, and then you should try to get your own place to live... I bought my first home while pregnant at the age of 19! it cost little more than renting @$530.00 month plus utilities. I had only $1,000 to put down and a job making $13.00/ hr. I worked up until 2 weeks before my son was born and while I was on medical leave I got help from the local social services they have hud and tanif. It would have ben better if I could have saved a little more before i bought the house so I would not have had to use these services...but you have to do whaat you have to do. Here's a list of places that can help you. You were right in not having children if you cant financially support them. Its okay, there is always bad ways to abort-people that go out and do their thing get pregnant and then hurry and abort because its what they want. You really didn't have a choice. I know where you are coming from, I had to give my son up for adoption. And I am now just getting to be okay with it. And its been a year. I would have to say the best thing is to go over to the local department of child and family services, and fill out forms, and then keep aggravating them about getting it processed. And keep your job, and wait a while for the benefits to kick in before having another child. And to the chick that is *appalled about taxpayers or people paying for other people mistakes* DON'T EVER THINK THAT A CHILD IS A MISTAKE! I am appalled to think that someone would ever think that a child is a mistake, and further more its not a child's fault that some people plan to be welfare parents, but for some its the only way to get through life. I was on it too, and now I pay tax for another person to pay for the formula and diapers for their kid. |
