I am SO embarassed...I think the maintenance man saw.....?

My husband and I live in an apartment and periodically they have to come in to change the filter in the furnace. I don't know exactly when they came but when I opened the closet door today (where the furnace is) all of my clothes were pushed back and the laundry basket was pushed out of the way, so I know they came already. Then I immediately looked at the dresser next to the closet and noticed my dildo sitting out in plain view. Normally we keep it in our top drawer but my husband was looking for batteries the other day, took them out and obviously didn't put it back in the drawer. To make matters worse, there was a tub of vaseline sitting on the dresser too (totally unrelated to the dildo). I'm so humiliated- I went to pay the rent today and I swear the woman in the office was holding back laughter and I'm so worried about seeing one of the maintenance guys.

What the heck should I do? I'm so mortified ---I already put it back in the drawer.

Be proud of who you are, and forget being embarrassed. Most couples that are willing to experiment with toys actually have a better sex life than those that stay in the same old rut.

The landlord should let you know when they are going to be there, so you have a chance to put personal things away and lock up valuables.

Check your local housing ordinances and the terms in your lease. They aren't supposed to be wandering around your place without telling you.

Well, first, you don't know who saw what, so it all speculation. But, since you feel they probably saw something, there's nothing you can do. You can't make them forget what they saw. Its not illegal to have a dildo and vaseline, so they can't do anything to you. Yeah, they might get a little entertainment out of it at your expense, but that's about all they can do. Just try to forget about it. You're married, you can do whatever you want in your bedroom, and no one can say a thing. If you want to be really bold, bring it up next time you pay your rent... maybe you all can laugh about it and it will go away. Sometimes just putting things out there is the best way to move on.

Don't feel guilty now. Your answer for the next time should be, With a big grin on your face and the dildo in your hand staring back at him and saying, "you were admiring this piece of flesh, huh ? "I'll bag it for you, if you'd like."

Don't worry about it. It is only as bad as you let it be. Most women have them. My wife left hers out for an entire weekend while we went away and had friends come in and check on our pets. Of course they saw it. Everybody laughed for a minute and then everything was cool. Besides, does it really matter?

This is your own personal business. Don't bother worrying what other "may" know or not. If you continue with your lives and act as though nothing happened then it should disappear from their minds...as well as yours.

It's probably a bigger deal to you. IF they saw it, they might have had a laugh, then who knows if there was anything else to distract them. A dildo's not that big a deal. They could have walked in on you having sex.
I would try to laugh it off and concentrate on something else. You're going to drive yourself crazy if you keep obsessing over it.
