Can an employer place financial sanctions against employees, then fire the employee for not doing their job? |
The mgmt company for the apt. complex I worked for did not pay bills to vendors and suppliers (office supplies and stamps)thus crippling us office workers in doing our job. The job included rent collection and mailing of invoices from these vendors and suppliers in order to process payment. Well, if the facts are as you've described you should consult an attorney regarding the filing of a wrongful termination suit. Of course, if the company can't pay its bills what's the point? Sure, and you could complain, but that's a fight probably not worth the trouble. Besides, word of mouth always works best anyway. Start telling everyone you know about your experiences, but be sure to be fair and honest. If you weren't doing your job then maybe this was a wake up call for you! |
