About a PO box? |
OK, so if you rent a PO box and forget to make your payment, does the post office just return all the mail to the sender, or does it keep it there? My brother asked me this, and I have absolutely no idea, never having had one. So what's the deal here? they usually keep it in a box behind the counter for a month then send it back undeliverable....pay the rent..I think too,it depends on the size of the facility...small towns are more lenient Failure to pay for the PO Box rent will result in you being locked out of the Box... generally, the P.O. will let you know that the rent is over-due... "they" will hold the mail for about a week, then send it back to the original sender... and rent the box out to a new customer... so...go quickly and resolve the rent issue or loose the box and the mail... |
