I just started a job at a large apartment complex I need advice please.? |
I'm a leasing consultant basically I sell the lease to the customer. I'm doing really well but I want to do better. I don't like to sit and wait for people to come in. Does anyone know a good market for people who need apartments. I have ideas like people new to the area that need a place to live but I don't know where or how to get in contact with these people. I've also been trying to get into the corporate housing but thats a full time job on it's own and my boss doesn't want me out of the office all the time.I can't take out my own ads it's a property management company and against company rules. I'm doing craigslist, the apartments I rent are not expensive but in the high moderate range. Most of the replys I get are from people who don't qualify to rent. I'm in Southern California so I know the market is there just need help tapping into it. Thanks for reading all of this any advice would be great. I used to use craigslist and it was all the business I could handle. Maybe you need to write a better ad. Feature all the amenities, the local conveniences and transporation, things included in the rent, etc. Go to the large employers in the area and give them brochures. all i can say is ads in the paper and maybe a website also maybe ads at the grocery store pound the pavement at local events just talk to people every time you can |
