What are the Laws in Pennsylvania pertaining to winter time eviction? |
My Mother , whom is disabled and paid her rent on time , was given a verbal eviction by her Landlord and given the reason that he was selling the property . Does he have the Legal right to give her 30 days verbal notice in the winter months , not to mention, she is disabled. It was my undestanding that it needs to be written notice filed at the local Magistrates Office , and isn't there Laws protecting tennant from being evicted in the Winter when there not at fault and paying the agreed rent? The verbal eviction would not hold up in court, in that case it would be a matter of hesaid/ she said. Typically, an eviction notice has to be given at least 30 days in advance and has to be filed through the courts. |
