Got caught stealing at work...? |
I know this is morally wrong and I will never do it again..so here it goes. Thanks for all your answers guys...really appreciate all the advice in helping get through difficult crisis i created. One more thing...i also have a second job as a work study at school for a professor...what are they chances they can find out about this? If you get fired, say that you were self employed during this period of time as a <fill in the blank>. That way, there will not be a gap on your resume. They didn't take legal action so that's in your favor. I'd forget about using this place as a reference. I'd leave it off your resume altogether honestly. Run and hide! You are suspended WITH PAY????. Sounds like they are seriously considering giving you a second chance. They are fully within their rights to fire you and/or press charges. I agree that if you are let go, leave this job off of your resume and you may even want to look into a different career altogether. It's the electronic age and that makes most industry circles smaller than in the past. Hope it all works out for you. You don't sound like you had malice in your heart. Maybe next time you will look for another option. It is very likely you will lose your job. Depending on where you look for work ...for instance if it is handling cash you may not get that kind of job depending on the future employers standards. Good luck. Oh, boy! Well, being suspended with pay after admitting guilt is a good sign. You still have your job. They could have fired you right then and there. My guess is you are safe, employment-wise. Hard to say how likely you are to lose the job. I mean yeah the advantage is in your favor in that you are suspended WITH pay. I mean if they were thinking of firing you they would have said WITHOUT pay. Now if you are terminated DON'T claim self-employed on your resume. NEVER LIE on your resume like that. Beyond being technically illegal(no company is likely to ever prosecute but it is perjury in the least) it is grounds of dismal. Leaving the job off your resume would be a better idea, and it isn't lying about your job history. now see how easy it is to mess up your working career.you will never get a job where they have to run a back ground check.good luck. Question #1. Yes #2. Yes #3. Hope not We all go through hard times. |
