My lanndlords lawyer promised me money verbally? |
My landlord was not providing us with heat. He wanted to sell the house and gave us 5 days to vacate. When we did not, he verbally and physically harassed us. We were up to date on rent . We cleaned the house , hired a mover and went through a lot moving our son in the middle of the year. We fufilled our obligations and according to the lawyer, when we handed in the keys, we would get our money. We went to his office and he said he is not going to be handling this case any longer. What can I do? why don't people get things in writing? seriously... especially in the middle of a situation like this. i dunno. go to court. you can try. it's not likely you'll be able to prove anything though. good luck. |
