Work stress and anxiety?

I recently started hating my job everyday. I wake up axious, down no motivation. Things are changing, the economy, my buisness sales are down, and the place where i operate out of is forcing a rent hike or I must buy the place?>New labor, cant catch on as quick as I hoped. I have 15yrs exp. in the business of lawn/landscape and I like the admin. part, but lately just day to day activity and little things are stressing me out. I have even started thinking of getting out of business, and do something else. DONT know what? Is all of the stress on my plate making me think irrational? I cant even function daily and my doctor has me on lexapro 2wks now. I am not really myself (happy) Dont have any interest in other activities like I use to (boating, ect) But I do look forward to my beautiful wife and daughter every day. Thats about all that make me happy. AFTER WORK with them. I just get tierd of wearing all the hats in the business. Its small so I have to ( feild, office, sales) GETS OLD!

Its a tough situation...you bust you butt to make a company grow, but it takes a lot out of you. The rewards may be there, but it is draining.

I don't have any easy answers. In my own case, I can't go much past three or four years with any one company...so I start another. Fresh challenges. Fresh customers. Fresh everything. It is invigorating all over again.

If having your own business is no longer enjoyable then maybe it is time to get out. Maybe going to work for someone else for a while will help you get back into the things you used to enjoy on the side. You don't have to bear the weight of having to run a business and truely enjoy the time with your family even more. Sometimes the stress just might not be worth it and being able to leave work behind at the end of the day because it's someone else's business may be what you need. It's possible after a break you'll then want to go back to having your own business again.
We just started down that road of having our own business and it is stressful that's for sure. Sounds like you need a break and go back and find your old self - and not feel guilty about it. Good luck to you.
