Why can't single brothers get on assistance?

i called down the assistance office and they say a single guy like me cant get welfare. why not? am i suppsed to starve myself? i have a few babies, but they live with their mothers. i cant get a decent job to pay my rent and food and bills and stuff, so how i supposed to live? i even tried to go to comunity college, but they told me i had to get my ged first. im trying to better myself, but i just need alitlte help to get strait. how come the govment doest help single guys but they help single women with kids? it aint fair i think. if i were white i think the govment would have more programs for me. white people wont even hire me to drive a bus because i dont know the routes, but i'd lern them. i just need a chance.

It's not just single "brothers" that can't get assistance, it's single anyone. Men, women, white, black, whatever. I agree with you though, some people just need help getting on their feet, like in your case. It's hard when nobody will hire you because you don't have the experience. How are you supposed to get experience if no one will give you a chance, right?? Just keep looking. Someone will give you that chance! Good Luck :)

Your kidding, right? You live in the United States, have access to a computer, and STILL can't support yourself?? Dude, there are Mexicans in this counrty that can't even speak english that support families of eight. You should just get caught committing a felony and go to jail. It's obvious no one can help you.

it causes like u said u have few babies and they are with their mothers ... and if ur not paying for them then i guess the mothers are on it... so why should us tax payers pay for the both of u plus ur kids.... it doesn't make sense.....
plus they give help to a mom before they give help to guy.....

You're serious, aren't you? Get a GED, get a job, it is not about race, it is about you whining too much. If you had custody of the kids, then you would be able to get welfare, but based on your question, there is probably a real good reason why you would never get custody.
