Does anybody know the ins and outs and the laws of weekly apartments such as budget suites?

i recently rented a weekly apartment at hotel suites of america i stayed for one week when rent came around the following week i was a day late they came to my door asked me what was going on i told them i would have it that following evening unfourtanatley i went to jail that same night got out about 1 1/2 weeks later to find out that they had packed my stuff up and rented the weekly apartmaent out which i can understand , but my question is , can the keep my stuff if i dont pay them storage fees half of the stuff isnt even mine , i also have some medication that i will be needing really soon when what i have runs out , and people are telling me that i will haft to pay storage fees daily i cannot afford to pay them any thing right now i have been wearing the same clothes now for six days i havent contacted them yet because i wanted to find out what my right are does anybody know can i get my stuff back , can i call the city attorneys office and maybe they can put pressure on them.

Where I live you are responsible for storage fees. Have you gone to social services and explained what happened? They may be able to help. You can also try legal services.
