How much do i have to earn for a descent standard of living in Atlanta? |
My office is relocating me to Atlanta from singapore. My current sal is 45k USD per annum. I have never been to this place and have no idea about anything. How much should i have to earn for a descent standard of living in atlanta. I am married and have a baby of 4yrs old. So i have to rent a house (living) + car (travelling) + preschool (baby). Being all these expenses + tax & insurance, how much more should i earn. Try looking at a salary calculator to compare with areas that you are more familiar with. you need nearly nothing there. electricity is off most of the time and lately there is no water. the main staple is grits and that is real cheap. just need beer money and a little for the boarding house. you could work part time, if you can find a job in the city. farm work is out cause the water is on ration. ain't much jump in atlanta these day. just trying to stay cool, sleeping and going to the governor's prayer meetings. as a married responsible person you have to limit your budget what i mean is you have not to be extravagant you have to think of your family as your inspiration. you are there to work and not to roamed..try to find some part time job if you can find some. about 15K!!! |
