I have a friend who has medically physically disabilatating problems and is out of work and needs to pay bills

My friend is out of work because her employer was inconsiderate to her health problems and unemployment is denying her claims due to her last day of calling in sick,she did not have a doctors excuse.She was terminated due to "excessive sick time off without legitemate excuse.",but she had all documentation from her doctor and her doctors office even called her HR rep at work and had to argue with her letting the rep know that she under medical care and could not come back to work. A long story short, my friend is out of money, she is waiting for dissability papers to show up and has rent to pay,car payments to make etc,... I am wondering were she can turn for help. She is not a Lazy person, she is out every day looking for work,she Is limited to what physical work she can do.Is there any suggestions to any agencies or any phylantrophropic organizations that can help this fantastic individual get her life back in order

If she has diability and life insurance on anything like car payment house payment a note from the Dr. stating she is disabled will work and the car payment and houde payment will be covered under her disability premium,also she can go down to her local department of human services and apply for assistance and they can lead her to place that can help on a one time basis with her bills and she can get emergency food stamps, and along as she is unemployed she can continue to get food stamps.Also she can go to www.ssa.gov and apply online for disability it's alot faster , but be aware most people are denied there first time around and will end up needing an attorney. this whole disability thngs takes about 2 years , it's not a quick fix.But she can call her bank today about her disability and life on her car loan and or house loan and any medical insurance premiums you pay.I hope this helps good luck

I am desperately sorry for your friend and I apologise for my sarcasm, but why does the world's richest country persist in choosing policies that put her and millions like her in that position?

I don't know of anyone except the Salvation Army or maybe Goodwill...
Local churches may be able to help her
