Why do you like the show The Office?

And, do I need to rent the first two seasons and watch them before I watch this season?

Is there a better show to watch?

The Office has sharp, witty humor that some people don't like but I think it is one of the funniest shows on TV. It reminds me of Arrested Development (a show that was taken off the air in its prime!). Steve Carrell shines as the stupid office manager who thinks his employees worship him, but actually make fun of him behind his back. My favorite ep is the sensitivity training--it is one of the least PC shows on TV!

I think you should rent at least the first season to see if you like it. Its only 7 or 8 eps and gives you a glimpse of how funny the show is!

I don't like it, but I've only watched it once. I thought it was one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. Buys News Radio on DVD instead. It's a riot!

I watch it mostly every week, but sometimes it is offensive. Last Thursday I felt that way. I hope that Thursday's show isn't an indication of how the whole season will go. I would just rent the last season just to catch up on who is who.

It is funny. You do not need to watch old seasons to catch up, most things are pretty easy to figure out (who dated who mostly) and al most all of the funny stuff is not based on a continuing story line.


If you have ever worked in an Office, you will probably like it. The first time I saw Office Space I thought it was kind of dumb, but after I graduated and starting working I saw it again and realized why so many people think it is funny.

I can't think of a better comedy on tv right now.

It's super silly, and written very well. You don't need to watch the first two seasons, but I would, so that you can get to know the characters and see how their relationships evolve.

Micheal is soooooo dumb...so is Dwight and dumb is funny!!
