I work full-time in an office, but need to get a 2nd job-Should I work at Starbucks? |
I used to work at a coffee place called Peets a while ago. So I don't think it would be too hard for me to learn stuff at Starbucks. But..any Starbucks workers here-is it fuN? I'm moving into a one-bedroom apartment, so my current rent is going to double, which is why I need a job working some nights and some weekends!! Egats! Heck No! Don't move into the 1 bedroom! Starbucks pays poorly and expects way too much and the people that you work with are generally b-tchy because they don't make the kind of money they should be making and the drama makes you sick. I think you should go for it. Good Luck Heard that they offer health benefits to part-timers. Maybe that could save you some $$$ My wife worked there for awhile for fun. She doesn't have to work but to occupy her time when I was at the hospital, she would work at Starbucks. It is a great company to work for, very flexible with your schedule. Also, it is a great work environment and the customers are usually enjoyable. Plus you are a shoe-in, you already have coffee background :-) I have a 2nd job also. I say go for it, if you think you can do it and you won't mind it, I don't think it would be too hard & seems like it may be fun. Who knows! If you don't like it you can always find another place. In the end, work is work! I work in an office and my 2nd job is in a pizza place. Its ok, sometimes its fun, but mainly work is work! Good luck. I think it would be fun. There's no reason not to try it, right? Their big season is coming up, and they're going to need lots of help. Go for it! If you can handle the hours go for it. Jumping from 1 job to another can be a little stressing though. if you have experience Starbucks would be a good choice for a few nights a week. |

To be honest most of us americans are pretty stupid and we wouldnt even know how to go about getting out leader our of office and those what do have other things they have to do besides being a rev...
