Gonna be evicted in 5 days..help!?

my friend just got an eviction notice from the county...attached to it was a three day notice that she never recieved from the leasing office...can she legally be evicted without prior notice? we live in florida.

This has been going on for over a month. The hearing has already taken place. She was given notice, she may have ignored it, but she is fully aware that she was not paying rent and that she forced the landlord into an eviction.

Yes, this is legal, the "notice" is are talking about is the court order.

Help her pack.

a; I presume she has not paid rent. If she has, take the receipt to the county clerk and that will
remove the judgment.

b; if she has not, what does she expect?

c; she will get a judgment from
the small claims court.

d; after she gets the judgment
she has a right to re-appear
when the landlord returns to court
seeking a judgment to take to the sheriff's office to physically
remove you.

if you pay all back fees at this send hearing, you will not
be evicted; I guarantee that.

If she got a notice from the county...then it has already gone through the court system. Didn't she know that she was behind on rent? I find it hard to believe that she never received any type of notice prior to this.

Ok...let's review the facts here.

Did she need a notice to know that she didn't pay her rent and that it was overdue.?

Did she think she could stay in her current place for free and not pay the landlord?

Let's say she got the 3 day notice from the landlord...if would have had the money then, she would have the money now.

If she got a notice from the COUNTY then that means a FORMAL eviction hearing took place and she had the opportunity to show up and didn't.

Your friend is lying to you...let her worry about her own problems.
