Should I go check up on my apartment application? |
I applied for an apartment two days ago, I faxed my application. it's an immediate occupancy apartment. We are in love with it and it's needed, we have 6 days to find a place before we are homeless. Did they tell you how long it would take to process your application? It usually takes at least two days or so to check your credit and references. If you've already left messages, wait another day for the return phone call. If you don't hear anything by Monday, then call again or go by the office. If the woman you need to speak with isn't there, ask if there is someone else who can tell you the status of your application. If there is nothing weird about your financial and work situation, and there weren't multiple applications for the same apartment, I think you'll be fine. In the meanwhile, you should consider having a back up plan if this apartment doesn't come through in time. Good luck! Oh my gosh, I know how you feel. My husband, son (2 yrs old at the time) and I went through the same thing. Over a hundred dollars in app fees and waiting and waiting to hear word. We ended up maxing out a credit card by staying in a hotel for a week since we had given up our lease with our previous apt only for the deal to go bust. |
