What happens if i get evicted from my apt. by the leasing office?? |
Ok guys!! i just moved in my apt on MARCH 1ST 2008...my neighbour up stairs has been complaining about my music to the leasing office. They sent me 2 letters of notice they said the 3rd will be immediate eviction. I so pissed. What happens if they evict me this lease is so new. Would i have to go to court, still pay whats going to happen...Help!! Mind you...the music is not loud but she complains any way...i am very fair and considerate person You may have options. Apartment management are required to hear both sides before taking action. Its possible you can contest the complaint letters. I would suggest you meet with management officials and formally contest the letters and give your side of the story. This will help them to act effectively. If you're evicted without cause and required to pay lease penalties, you may want to seek legal counsel. Look fight it, show up to court on the date you received the summons, this is the deal unless at the eviction hearing they can produce the other tenant or police reports all they have is hearsay which is not admissible in court File a counter claim saying your fat-assed neighbors upstairs clomp around all the time in their shoes. |
