Landlord is not paying money promised as incentive to procure tenants.?

My landlord posted note in the elevator (which is still there) says if we can bring a new tenant and if the tenant signs a one year lease. I found one and they signed 1 year lease, and it's been more than a year now, but I still don't see the money. every time we ask for it, they say, oh the head office will have to do that.. and it's now more than 18 months. What are the actions can I take? I live in GTA (greater toronto area), in Ontario, Canada.

I would take pictures of the sign and get the name, phone number and address of someone that you can talk to at the head office.
Inform them of the situation and give them as much detail as possible (like the name of the tenant you bought in)

If all else fails then you can always go to small claims court (of course that depends on how much the incentive was for).
If you do go to small claims court, then make sure you get sworn statements for other tenants saying that they saw the signs posted around he building.
Try and get as much evidence proving that you are owed that money.

Good luck.

Take photos of the signs posted in the elevator as proof, and maybe seek legal advice from a lawyer. That would be my best advice.

idk my bff jill

Make copies of the letter...when your rent is due, subtract that amount and attach the letter to indicate the balance paid.

The landlord will no doubt try to evict you, but take another copy of that letter to the hearing and ask the judge for time to procure discovery. T
