Landlord is not paying money promised as incentive to procure tenants.? |
My landlord posted note in the elevator (which is still there) says if we can bring a new tenant and if the tenant signs a one year lease. I found one and they signed 1 year lease, and it's been more than a year now, but I still don't see the money. every time we ask for it, they say, oh the head office will have to do that.. and it's now more than 18 months. What are the actions can I take? I live in GTA (greater toronto area), in Ontario, Canada. I would take pictures of the sign and get the name, phone number and address of someone that you can talk to at the head office. Take photos of the signs posted in the elevator as proof, and maybe seek legal advice from a lawyer. That would be my best advice. idk my bff jill Make copies of the letter...when your rent is due, subtract that amount and attach the letter to indicate the balance paid. |
