Signed a Office Lease 3 weeks ago, manager never delivered copy of lease to me? |
I signed a copy of a new lease agreement for office space in New York in April 26th which goes into effect on May 1st. The Building Manager says it takes a few weeks for the copy to come back. Today is the 18th and i have not recieved my copy back. I have no copy of the original. Im afraid what if someone forges my lease amount or tries to swallow my deposit. What can i do? I have spoken with the manager which is of NO help. HI Chris That sounds funny where would he have to take it to get copys? Ask if he has a copy and if he has a copier. Try the company who owns the building Are you serious? Whenever you sign something you need to get a copy right then and there or ask for the paperwork back and leave. |
