Which is the best option (VPN or lease line) to connect a company's HO to its Regional Offices under WAN?

Okay..III Consider a scenario where is HO is some 1000 mile geographically apart from your Regional office -

If you go for a NLD ( National long distance) links it would cost you on lakes per Annam ( Will your type of application and budget does requires this ? if yes go for it if not read below )

Choose a ISP who has got PoP ( Point of Presence) on both the location ( i.e HO location and RO location ) ask them to provide local VPN links form the nearest PoP to your Ho and Ro respectively. Let them carry their your traffic via their NLD links, while you pay for local plus ISp charge , still is lower than your own NLD link, and also they will maintain the link, so you don't need a technician, saving more cost.

Consider if your HO is in some foreign country. ILD ( International Long distance) link also will also cost you in lakes but not in rupees but in dollars.
Still you have hope because most if the ISPs has PoP on foreign locations as well.

Conclusion - If your company running existing infrastructure and people to manage, money to spend, you can go for your own Leased Line , or else bargain with few ISP and let them take the burden.

I feel lease line would be the best option. VPN might be suitable for people working from home. If you want to use VPN and internet.You are goin to endmore paying more for ISP provider than what yoy pay for lease line. this is my opinion.

according to usage u can determine which connection would best to establish.
lease line connection is economically expensive than vpn connection. but security issue lease line is the best way. if u r going to do vpn configuration in ur server, speed will definetly slow. so u could consider which point of view u have to get. if u wana economical one, choose vpn right now. or seeking comfort to maintain, choose lease line...

Lease line is far too expensive as you would need at least one line for each office. Use VPN routers at each office, this gives secure encrypted communications and allows each office full internet access.
