I & roomie have 2 bdrm apt He was supposed to sign lease later but never did we want to move is lease invalid? |
My roomate and I have a 2 bedroom apartment. The people in the front office knowing he wouldnt qualify with his credit said he could "sign" the lease later. Now 5 months into the lease, we both have found jobs in other states and wish to move. Is the lease invalid because he didnt sign it? OR do I at least have some leverage with management since he neer signed it? Thanks real estate lawyer that really helped!!! The fact that he didn't sign the lease doesn't invalidate the lease. If yours is the only name on the lease then you are entirely responsible for it. He would be considered a "sub-tenant" under you. There is no legal lease, if you didn't sign a lease. |
