Do salespersons employed in leasing office of apartment complex require a real estate license in California? It depends. If you are not going to be involved in the leasing of the apartment you do not need a license. no but if theyre the managers, and they DONT live there, then they must, if the property belongs to someone else. if they live there they can be without a brokers license, if they own it they can be without a brokers license. but not if its someone elses real property, and not if they dont live there. business and professions code. No they do not. They are leasing or rental agents only and there is no license required other than a business license. They are not selling you anything, just renting. |
