To be evicted or to break the lease? |
so my sister kicked her bf out he wont stop calling so my sis gets a call from the assistant manager from her apts. saying someone keeps calling the office and claiming she is doing drugs now she is so stressed out she doesnt know what to do.Any ideas She should tell them the whole story so they know who's calling and why. its called a restraining order. get one. was he on the lease? if not have her talk to the mgr if he was have him removed from the lease and still talk to the mgr your question isn't very clear. What exactly are you asking? tell your sister to go and talk to the manager of tha apt. and tell them nothing is going on or they will evict her in a second She needs to ask the office for a record of those calls and file a police report. Have the desk clerk *69 the number. She can NOT be evicted if the person is not able to substantiate their claims. She should not break the lease either. It's HER home. When she files the police report, she needs to file a copy with the apartment complex manager. First and foremost, she MUST report him to the police for ALL of his behavior (phone calls, any stalking, physical abuse, threats, etc.). She needs to give copies of the reports to the apartment management. how bout neither.. ive been evicted and its not fun... they'll keep making u pay even if ou don't live there... i say u just tell them whats going on, and try to put some kind of block on this guy! She needs to speak with the apt manager and explain what the disruptions are. I suggest that she show the manager a copy of the restraining order that she needs to go get. tell her to talk to the manager and give him permission to inspect her apt if he wants to then go get a restraining order on the bf she dont have to move out First of all go to the courthouse and file for a stalking or or a restraining order against this guy. Restraining orders are a little bit harder to get because there usually has to be domestic violence involved. Then talk to your landlord and explain to them that this man is harassing you. If you have been good tenants then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Good luck! |
