How much does my cancellation fee run? |
I have to cancel my renewal lease that begins in May... I'm not in town or anything and the leasing office wont tell me how much the cancellation fee is until I come in... Does anyone know how much it runs??? I pay about $1,250 if that helps any... ANd a $200 deposit,.... It would be unusual for there to be a charge to not renew a lease. There may be charges for holding obver beyond the time lease expires such as if itb expired May 1 but unless you signed a renewal you should be able to move free and clear at the end of the lease. If there were damages they will charge for that of course. If you have your original lease papers it should tell any cancellation or early termination fees. If you are getting no cooperation at the comples try the main office of the management co. If need be try state dept of consumer protection if you feel you are being done wrong. |
