Insured ebay package states delivered but I never received it.?

First, I should say I live in an apartment community and the office accepts packages for us if they don't require a signature. I got a slip in my mailbox from them stating a package was waiting for me in the office on Saturday. When I went to pick it up, they said there wasn't anything there for me. I went home and checked the tracking and it showed it was delivered. The person in the leasing office told me sorry and to try back the next day. He said maybe the delivery person left it on his truck. So yesterday I checked again and no package . I told the manager in the leasing office and she told me to try again tomorrow so I went by today and got no answer. She said they must have put the slip in my box by mistake. I am already planning on calling their corporate office because they have been so careless about this situation however, my question actually about the fact that I purchased insurance. Since I insured the item, what can I do now?

I would try to find that postal person that had your package ! And find out who he gave it to ! Sounds like somebody in the office had a good time with your package !!!

File a claim with the shipper. That's all you can do. Sounds like someone in the leasing office jacked your package to me though....if the carrier left a slip saying it is in the leasing office and it isn't there. Seems awfully fishy to me.

I dont think insurance will be much good if someone at that office stole your package.

Rapport it immediately to a PO Supervisor. Also was there shipping insurance, if so file a claim since many EBAY vendors carry insurance just for that purpose

You can try to get the money from your apartment people, but don't make them too mad at you. Ask yourself if the amount lost is worth the possible problems they may in the future give you with your apartment.
