Annoying kids!? |
The people below me just moved in. Im not sure what is going on down there, but all they do is yell and scream and bang on the walls. I work nights, and sleep during the day. My roommates and I are college students. Should I goto the leasing office, or go down stairs and talk to the mother? Since they have moved in there has not been any peice and quiet. They dont go outside, and they are always home. Shouldnt they be in school or something? They cry and scream, and bang on the walls with their toys. I havent even seen the kids! They also dont go to sleep until around midnight either. The people before them were just as bad. Is this normal apartment noise? Or should I go talk to someone about this....Help me before i loose my sanity. the kids around here went door to door screaming trick or treat..and people gave them food!! Did I miss the memo or something? Unfortunately you cannot do much of anything since during non quiet hours they do not HAVE to be quiet. If the noise is realy bothering you that much go and tell your landlord and he/she can deal with the noise problems to get them sorted out. Go talk to the leasing office. I wouldn't recommend trying to handle it on your own. Explain to them what is going on and for how long. If they aren't willing to help, I'd recommend looking for another apartment and taking your business elsewhere. I would advise to NOT talk with the new neighbors themselves, but rather the manager. It can get dangerous to confront neighbors. Say to the manager just what you have said here. Sadly you will probably have to move to find some quietude. Twas ever thus. Talk to someone in the office about it. I had the same problem about two months ago and it got to the point where I was thinking about moving away myself just to get away from it. But I went and come to find out the children were being left alone and had nobody watching them... You have no idea what is going on so tell, you may save someone on top of getting your peace and quiet. I can really understand you, I have the same problem with the kid upstairsI talked to the parents and I know they tried to do something - installed carpet in the child's room. But it does not help, it is only quiet when the "barbarian" is away, otherwise I have to wake up at 9 at the weekends. The only solution is to move out. Complain to the management. They will probably do something. Complain to management. You have the right to a quiet area in shich to sleep. I worked nights, too, so I know how hard it can be. |
