Need advice, please? |
We've been living in these really nice apartments for about 5 months now. Well, we got this notice on our door that says that they need to inspect/check maintance in our apartment, sometime between 6/27-7/06, 9am-6pm. Here's the problem, we have a cat, but we got her after we moved in (aka we inform the leasing office we had a pet, nor did we pay a pet deposit). Mind you it's 500 bucks! Anyway, I'm not sure what they are "inspecting." Whether it's the water heater, lighting, etc. Or, if it's just a routine check to see if we are living to their "standards." What do you guys think? Also, my bf will be home during the days, this week. And I actually have most of next week off. But, if they come in when we are gone, what should I do with my cat? I'm worried she will try to run out of the house. Advice, please? Put your cat in the room. I used to live in an apartment, and I would put my puppy in my room when I knew the workers were comming to inspect. There was nothing that needed to be checked in my room except the bathroom which never needed check-up. Im pretty sure they will just be doing something within the kitchen or air system. But just incase, put a sign on you room door saying "cat inside, please don't let out"...therefore if the cat does run out, the workers are at fault!..it was writen for them to not let the cat out! Hope this helps! I think you should ask your friend to take care of the cat just until the inspectors are finish because if you lock your cat up he\she will be stressed all the time because like you said u dont know when they are coming after that bring it home and everything will be ok Can you board her for the week or have a friend keep her? Or put her in a closet or garage? Maybe the bathroom? Good luck That sounds like a good day to take the cat to the Vet, make sure everything is fine . Two birds, one stone. |
