Trifling Neighbors?

My neighbors downstairs claim im loud. The say My roommate and I walk and talk loud. The sent two complaints to leasing office about us. After the first one we have made and effort to walk softly and talk quietly. The last one they sent claim we were loud Friday night till satuday morning at 4am. We werent even home that whole day. We ran errends all day then went clubbing, we didnt get home till 4am and then we pass out in the bed. The next morning we didnt wake up till 1pm. Im just so irritated. We think they are complaining to get back at us for complaining about thier loud music. What should we do??

The big problem with them is that they claim we make nose on days when we are either in the bed being lazy all day or we went out and NO ONE is home

Tell your leasing office. let them know that they were complaining about you doing stuff when you weren't even at home. This will pretty much destroy their credibility.

Brick their windows, send them gift wrapped faeces thru the post. Wait until the go on holiday and put live crickets & locusts thru their letterbox. Snake food from pet stores is excellent revenge gear (If you have the stomach for it), drop one thru the letter box 4 days before they're due home, decomposing flesh on the door mat to greet them.

Just make sure you have an alibi or get someone else to do it on your behalf and hope THEY MOVE!

Hope that helps, pmsl.
No I'm not a psycho but had a neighbour from hell.

You may be making more noise than you think. What's loud to one person is everday noise for another. Just be mindful of the fact that the floors and walls in apartments are really thin. Unless you're stomping around in heels all day, walking noise is nothing you can help, but can be prevented if your manager or landlord takes the initiative to install some soundproofing to spare you both from each other's noise. I think you should try talking to your neighbors first and explain that you both have different lifestyles but that you should both try to set some reasonable expectations. If they continue complaining and making noise, then report them. Communicate with them first, especially seeing as they didn't try talking to you and your room mate from the get-go.

I agree with the first three answers! Perhaps it is another neighbor???
