How do I handle a signed rental agreement (that my daughter signed) I want to break it. Grad student housing? |
Daughter is as grad student at college, she is in a great housing situation and supidly gave notice and signed another lease, with the college housing office, to move into another dorm in the city. They have a waiting list for the dorm she is in. I want her to stay there. She is scheduled to move out tomorrow and my last resort is to go beg the head of the housing. He is an ex marine but my future sleep worrying about the safety of my daughter next year is worth trying. If your Daughter is over 18 you may as well be beating a dead horse..Stop taking the lumps for her actions. no idea! If your daughter is at least 18 then she is an adult and has a legal contract. Your daughter is a grad student for goodness sakes...let her live her own life.....IF she's the one paying for her housing.....if you're the one paying for it, by all means, she has no choice but to do what you say. Otherwise, if she's footing the bill, deal with it, she's grown |
