Does a police officer find out if my vehicle is leased when running my plates?

I am a county official for the inspectors office, and the SUV I drive is leased by me from the county.

In Illinois yes...this comes back on all responses of vehicles that are leased.

Yes they will because the title of the vehicle will still be in the name of the dealership you are leasing it from.

It may not tell them it is a lease, but it might.
Sometimes the report on the plates comes back as John Doe, Lesee, and your address as shown on the registration.
It really depends on the state.

yes they will know because the computer comes back with who owns the car and it will show who is making the payments, and who it is redigistered to.

Depends on which state you're in and how its titled. Some are titled in the lease company name some in the leasees name.

In my state, yes. It will show your name, then the agency/company you leased the vehicle from.
